Synopsis:
MAIN STREET focuses on the dreams and aspirations of the everyday people of a close-knit North Carolina community who have their lives changed by the arrival of a stranger (Colin Firth) with a controversial plan to save their decaying hometown.
In the midst of challenging economic times, each of the colourful citizens - from its Mayor to a local police officer (Orlando Bloom), to a once-wealthy tobacco heiress (Ellen Burstyn) - will search for ways to reinvent themselves, their relationships and the very heart of their neighbourhood.
