Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald - Official Final Trailer & Character Art

Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is the second of five all new adventures in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World™.

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne).  But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.  Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, with Jude Law and Johnny Depp.  The cast also includes, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, and  Poppy Corby-Tuech.

“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling.  The film is produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.

Slated for release on November 16, 2018, the film will be distributed worldwide in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

It performed particularly well in London with 14 of the top 25 sites in the London area, with other key cinemas from West Midlands and in key cites; Birmingham, Leeds, Nottingham and Sheffield. Due to the excellent performance The Intent 2: The Come Up will be responding to demand by opening wider this coming weekend.

Rupert Preston at Vertigo Releasing said,

We’re confident that with the stars in the film we will continue to post even stronger numbers. Black British culture is on the rise, this is just one of the milestones. Thank you to Vertigo Releasing and Island for backing us.’

Alex Boateng – President, Urban – Island Records UK said,
‘These opening weekend numbers prove beyond any doubt that there is a real appetite for UK films that properly represent the UK's unique & exciting black culture. The Intent 2 is brimming with raw UK talent and has an authenticity that speaks directly to an often under-served group in the entertainment world. This exciting partnership between the music and film worlds shows that if you get like minded creative people together, and give it the proper financial backing the box office will respond. We're so proud at Island to be in business with Nicky, Femi and Vertigo Releasing on this.’

Interview with Jonah Beres

Young actor Jonah Beres talks up his role as Brody in Strange Nature, now showing at Laemmle Glendale.

Now is STRANGE NATURE based on a true story?

Yes.  It’s based on the mutated frogs in the lakes in Minnesota because of the pollution.  And they made it scary by using crazy make-up and special effects.

Would you call it a straight-up horror film? How would you describe it?

I’d say it’s more of an eco-thriller because unlike a horror movie it’s not like some mythical thing.  It could really happen.

Did they create the mutant frogs for real or were they special effects?

They were real.  They were gross.  They were real icky. I got to hold one in a scene.

How cool was it working with John Hennigan?

He was really strong lookin’.  I think I was in one scene with him.  We stayed at the same hotel and we saw Ninja Turtles at the theatre together.

And did director Jim Ojala treat you well?

Yes.  Jim treated me very well.  I have a pretty close relationship with him.  He’s a pretty good guy.

Where else can we see you at the moment?

I have a show called PEN15 coming on HULU near you.  I have a movie on NETFLIX called Stephanie, but dead Jonah gets more screen time than real Jonah.  I’m on an ABC TV show called Splitting Up Together catch me on season 1 and season 2.

As the fear rises the rumors begin to fly. Some blame the intimidating disfigured hermit father and daughter who live on a surrounding lake. Environmental science points to the water sources. Possibly causes are pesticides, parasites or both. As the chaos spreads it becomes clear that Chuck’s cabin is a hotspot ground zero for these mutations.

Trent, a grade school science teacher investigating the cases begins to fall for Kim while trying to protect her and Brody from whatever is coming next. Suddenly, a couple of teenagers go missing. Their mutilated bodies are found only a mile away. The attacks are so brutal it doesn’t seem humanly possible.
Then another. Could it be a man or a beast?

Finally, the unthinkable: the first human baby is born with similar horrid birth defects as the animals. Ultrasounds show an increasing number of abnormal fetuses with similar defects on the way. Upon delivery, the mothers start getting sick. Extremely sick.

Fearful for her unborn child and family, Kim searches for answers and a safe escape…

In this new take on the tragic love story, he plays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers—and falls in love with—struggling artist Ally (Gaga).  She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer… until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight.  But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.

The cast of “A Star is Born” also includes Andrew Dice Clay, with Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott.

In addition to playing Ally, Gaga, who earned her Oscar nod for the song “Til It Happens to You” from “The Hunting Ground,” performs original songs in the film, which she wrote with Cooper and a handful of artists, including Lukas Nelson, Jason Isbell and Mark Ronson.  All the music is original and was recorded live.

“A Star is Born” is produced by Bill Gerber, Jon Peters, Bradley Cooper, Todd Phillips and Lynette Howell Taylor.  Ravi Mehta, Basil Iwanyk, Niija Kuykendall, Sue Kroll, Michael Rapino and Heather Parry serve as executive producers.  The screenplay is by Eric Roth and Bradley Cooper & Will Fetters.

Collaborating with Cooper behind the scenes are Oscar-nominated director of photography Matty Libatique (“Black Swan”), production designer Karen Murphy, three-time Oscar-nominated editor Jay Cassidy (“American Hustle,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” “Into the Wild”), and costume designer Erin Benach.

Competition: Win Mario on DVD

Mario is out on DVD on September 10th.
And to celebrate we have a great competition for you and 3 copies to give away.

Synopsis
New player Leon (Aaron Alataras) joins Mario’s (Max Hubacher) football club and they become competitive on the pitch for securing a place in the first team. However, when asked to share an apartment, their rivalry takes a more passionate intimate turn. As their relationship intensifies, attitudes within the club force then to make a choice between their careers or each other.  Should they follow their hearts or play by the rules?

Combining authentic scenes of on-the-pitch action with intense drama, MARIO is a highly relevant and topical film shining a light on the pressures put upon professional football managers and associates alike to keep quiet about players who identify as gay in favour of preserving their career.  The film highlights homophobia within the game as well as wider issues around bullying and inclusion that are being addressed by many national and local football clubs as well as wider sports organisations.
