LEGEND announces July 2026 premieres

In July LEGEND continues with its broadcast of the RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER franchise, this month covering the third, fourth and fifth films in the brutal British gangster saga that has been engaging its millions of fans since 2007.

First up is RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER 3: THE PAT TATE STORY, which charts the violent  rise of ruthless Essex gangster Pat Tate (Craig Fairbass). Then comes RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER 4: MARBELLA, where we follow Pat Tate (Craig Fairbrass) to Spain with his henchmen, Tony (Terry Stone) and Craig (Ronald Manookian) to seek vengeance on those who double-crossed him. Finally, in RISE OF THE FOORSOLDIER: ORIGINS, we follow the story of how Pat, Tony and Craig unite to form their own firm. Vinnie Jones joins the cast.

There are also three other channel premieres – gritty Western drama 3:10 TO YUMA, starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale, action spy thriller xXx, starring Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson and  neo-noir action GET CARTER (2000), starring Sylvester Stallone.

Friday 3 July @ 23:00 – RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER 3: THE PAT TATE STORY (2017)  *Channel Premiere

Ruthless Essex gangster Pat Tate ends up in prison. Undeterred, he establishes himself as top dog inside and gets himself in shape in preparation for his release - when he plans to reclaim his turf the only way he knows how - with violence, and no mercy. Directed by Zackary Adler. The movie also features Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder playing a ruthless prison inmate.

Monday 6 July @ 21:00 – 3:10 TO YUMA (2007) *Channel Premiere

Dan Evans (Christian Bale) is an impoverished rancher, who agrees to escort a captured notorious outlaw Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) to a town with a railway station to put him on the 3:10 train to Yuma for trial, a task complicated by Wade's ruthless gang in pursuit. Directed by James Mangold.

Friday 10 July @ 23:10 – RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER 4: MARABELLA (2019)

 *Channel Premiere

We follow unhinged Essex gangster Pat Tate (Craig Fairbrass) as he leaves prison and travels to Spain to seek vengeance on those who double-crossed him. Joining him are his henchmen Tony (Terry Stone) and Craig (Ronald Manookian). Directed by Andrew Loveday.

Monday 13 July @ 21:00 – xXx (2002) *Channel Premiere

Vin Diesel stars as a former extreme sports athlete Xander “XXX” Cage, who has been scouted by National Security Agency operative Augustus Gibbons (Samuel L. Jackson) for a dangerous covert mission. Also stars Asia Argento. Directed by Rob Cohen (Fast & Furious franchise).

Friday 17 July @ 23:10 – RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER: ORIGINS (2021) *Channel Premiere

When Tony Tucker (Terry Stone) lands a job as a nightclub doorman after saving the owner’s grandson, he will do whatever it takes to rise to the top of the game. Teaming up with Essex heavyweight Bernard O’Mahoney (Vinnie Jones) at the height of the 1980s rave scene, Tucker’ audacious ventures see him join forces with Pat Tate and Craig Rolfe to capitalise on the drug-boom. Directed by Andrew Loveday.

Monday 20 July @ 21:00 – GET CARTER (2000) *Channel Premiere

In this remake of Mike Hodge’s 1971 cult classic, Sylvester Stallone plays Jack Carter, a ruthless Las Vegas mob enforcer who investigates the suspicious death of his brother, Richie. Jack uncovers a dark web of conspiracy, blackmail, and sexual exploitation involving local crime figures, leading him on a violent quest for vengeance. Michael returns to play Cliff Brumby, a shady, wealthy businessman.

LEGEND announces May 2026 premieres

May on LEGEND brings together a lively mix of classic favourites and more modern thrillers. Leading the charge is Sergio Leone’s Once Upon a Time in America, with Robert De Niro and James Woods delivering standout performances. Alongside it sits Joel Schumacher’s courtroom drama The Client, starring Susan Sarandon and Tommy Lee Jones, plus Spike Lee’s neo noir take on Old Boy, originally made famous by Park Chan wook. Rounding out that group is Sydney Pollack’s Three Days of the Condor, often seen as one of the defining films of 1970s paranoia cinema.

The month also features Immortals, Tarsem Singh’s bold and intense spin on Greek mythology with Henry Cavill and Mickey Rourke, as well as Andrew Niccol’s In Time, a dystopian sci fi thriller starring Justin Timberlake and Cillian Murphy. The Young Americans joins the schedule too, a British crime film from Danny Cannon, featuring Harvey Keitel and Viggo Mortensen.

There are also several channel premieres to look out for. These include the police thriller S.W.A.T. with Samuel L Jackson, Colin Farrell and Michelle Rodriguez, the survival drama The Ice Road starring Liam Neeson, and the hard edged crime story The Yards, featuring Mark Wahlberg, Joaquin Phoenix, Charlize Theron, James Caan and Faye Dunaway.

Saturday 2 May @ 21:00 – IMMORTALS (2011) *Channel Premiere

 

The brutal King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) searches for the legendary Epirus Bow to release the imprisoned Titans and destroy the Olympian gods. Zeus chooses a mortal stonemason, Theseus (Henry Cavill), to lead the fight against Hyperion and save humanity. Also stars Freida Pinto, Luke Evans, Stephen Dorff, John Hurt and Isabel Lucas.

 

Sunday 3 May @ 21:00 – THE CLIENT (1994) *Channel Premiere

 

A streetwise 11-year-old boy (Brad Renfro) witnesses the suicide of a mob lawyer and learns where a senator's body is buried. Worried for his family, he hires a lawyer (Susan Sarandon) to protect him from both the Mafia and a ruthless federal prosecutor (Tommy Lee Jones) who seems more concerned with making headlines than with his young witness’s safety.

 

Saturday 9 May @ 21:00 – S.W.A.T. (2003) *Channel Premiere

 

Inspired by the ‘70s hit TV series, Colin Farrell plays Jim Street, a former S.W.A.T. team member demoted after a controversial decision made during a robbery standoff. He gets a chance to redeem himself when team commander Dan Harrelson (Samuel L. Jackson) is assigned to recruit and train five top-notch cops for a new Special Weapons and Tactics unit.

 

Sunday 10 May @ 21:00 – OLD BOY (2013) *Channel Premiere

 

Joe Doucett (Josh Brolin), an alcoholic advertising executive, is kidnapped and imprisoned in a hotel-like cell for 20 years without knowing why. Upon his sudden release, he hunts for his captor, uncovering a dark, orchestrated conspiracy and a twisted, personal vendetta against him. Spike Lee’s remake of Park Chan-wook's 2003 masterpiece, also stars Elizabeth Olsen and Samuel L. Jackson.

 

Thursday 14 May @ 21:00 – THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR (1975) *Channel Premiere

 

CIA analyst Joe Turner (Robert Redford) returns from lunch to find all his co-workers murdered. As the code-named "Condor" goes on the run to escape a rogue agency cell, he kidnaps a photographer (Faye Dunaway) to help uncover a conspiracy involving oil and the CIA.

Welcome to a world where time has become the ultimate currency. In 1968, the elderly David "Noodles" Aaronson (Robert De Niro) returns to New York, where he had a career in the criminal underground in the '20s and '30s. Most of his old friends are long gone, yet he feels his past is unresolved. Told in flashbacks, the film follows Noodles from a tough kid in a Jewish slum in New York's Lower East Side, through his rise to bootlegger and then Mafia boss, a journey marked by violence, betrayal and remorse.

Harvey Keitel stars as a NYC detective assisting London police in dismantling a ruthless drug syndicate. The syndicate, led by an American expat (Viggo Mortensen), recruits local troubled teens to become gangsters and infiltrate a dangerous, new criminal network. NEWS: LEGEND Unveils a Blockbuster Line-up for February 2026

LEGEND is going big in February 2026, rolling out a packed month of Channel premieres that celebrate iconic directors, unforgettable performances and cult favourites. From crime epics and political thrillers to dystopian sci-fi and high-octane action, the schedule is a confident showcase of films that have left a lasting mark.

The month is led by heavyweight names both behind and in front of the camera. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Clint Eastwood take centre stage across a selection of films from directors whose work continues to define modern cinema. Brian De Palma’s SCARFACE, Martin Scorsese’s CAPE FEAR, Donald Siegel’s THE BEGUILED and John Frankenheimer’s BLACK SUNDAY form the backbone of a season rooted in bold storytelling and intense character work.

SCARFACE

February opens on Sunday 1 February at 21:00 with the Channel premiere of SCARFACE from 1983. Al Pacino stars as Tony Montana, a Cuban immigrant who rises to the top of Miami’s drug trade through ruthless violence. His empire grows quickly, but pressure from law enforcement, rival cartels and his own paranoia drive him towards an inevitable collapse.

Friday 6 February at 22:55 brings THINGS TO DO IN DENVER WHEN YOU’RE DEAD from 1995. Andy Garcia plays Jimmy the Saint, an ex-gangster pulled back into the criminal world for one final job. When the plan goes wrong, Jimmy has just 48 hours to survive as the city turns against him. The film also stars Christopher Walken and Steve Buscemi.

On Saturday 7 February at 21:00, EQUILIBRIUM arrives. Set in a future where emotions are outlawed to prevent war, Christian Bale stars as an elite enforcer who begins to feel again and realises he may be the key to dismantling the system he once served.

Sunday 8 February at 21:00 sees the Channel premiere of STATE OF PLAY from 2009. When a rising US politician’s assistant is murdered, journalist Cal McAffrey, played by Russell Crowe, uncovers a web of secrets and corruption. Ben Affleck and Helen Mirren also star in this tense political thriller.

BLACK SUNDAY follows on Thursday 12 February at 21:00. The 1977 film tells the story of a Black September terrorist plot to attack the Super Bowl using a Goodyear blimp, with tens of thousands of lives at risk. Robert Shaw and Bruce Dern lead the cast.

MAN OF TAI CHI

Saturday 14 February at 21:00 introduces MAN OF TAI CHI from 2013, directed by Keanu Reeves. Tiger Hu Chen stars as a devoted martial artist drawn into underground fighting to protect his master’s temple, forced to confront the clash between his pacifist beliefs and brutal reality.

On Sunday 15 February at 21:00, Martin Scorsese’s CAPE FEAR arrives. Nick Nolte plays a lawyer whose past actions come back to haunt him when violent ex-con Max Cady, portrayed by Robert De Niro, is released from prison and begins a relentless campaign of revenge against his family.

Thursday 19 February at 21:00 brings THE BEGUILED from 1971. During the American Civil War, a wounded Union soldier played by Clint Eastwood is taken in by women at a secluded Southern boarding school. Desire, jealousy and manipulation spiral into a dark and violent reckoning.

NO ESCAPE

Saturday 21 February at 21:00, NO ESCAPE premieres. Owen Wilson stars as an American businessman whose family becomes trapped during a violent uprising in Southeast Asia. Pierce Brosnan also features in this tense survival thriller.

Sunday 22 February at 21:00 sees AMERICAN MADE from 2017. Tom Cruise plays Barry Seal, a pilot recruited by the CIA who becomes entangled in drug smuggling for the Medellín Cartel during the 1980s, with events linked to the Iran Contra Affair.

UPGRADE follows on Thursday 26 February at 21:00. Directed by Leigh Whannell, the 2018 sci-fi thriller centres on a paralysed man given a computer implant that restores his mobility and grants extraordinary abilities, which he uses in a quest for revenge.

DEATH RACE

The month closes on Saturday 28 February at 21:00 with DEATH RACE from 2008. Jason Statham stars as a wrongfully imprisoned driver forced to compete in a deadly televised race for a chance at freedom, or face life behind bars.

With its February 2026 schedule, LEGEND delivers a confident mix of iconic cinema and modern cult hits, offering viewers a full month of intense stories, standout performances and unforgettable film-making.

NEWS: LEGEND Launches the New Year with Ten High-Impact Channel Premieres

LEGEND ushers in the new year with ten adrenaline fuelled channel premieres, spanning war drama, action, thriller and science fiction. The line-up includes Peter Weir's acclaimed war film Gallipoli, which helped establish Mel Gibson as a leading man, alongside titles from directors Rob Cohen, Mike Figgis and John Badham.

Among the featured films is Stealth, directed by Rob Cohen, a military science fiction action thriller set in the near future. Mike Figgis is represented with Internal Affairs, pairing Andy Garcia and Richard Gere in a psychological crime story centred on police corruption. John Badham's Nick of Time also screens this month, starring Johnny Depp and Christopher Walken in a real time political thriller.

MECHANIC RESURRECTION

Other channel premieres include Mechanic: Resurrection, the sequel to The Mechanic, starring Jason Statham as professional assassin Arthur Bishop. Also airing is the submarine thriller Hunter Killer, starring Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman. Oldman appears again in the gangster drama Lawless, which also stars Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain and Guy Pearce.

Additional premieres across the month include the alien invasion film Battle Los Angeles, the Western thriller The Last Son starring Sam Worthington, Thomas Jane and Heather Graham, and the spy thriller Survivor, starring Milla Jovovich and Pierce Brosnan, with Roger Rees in his final film role.

The schedule begins on Saturday 3 January at 9pm with Mechanic: Resurrection. Jason Statham returns as Arthur Bishop, who is forced back into his former life after the manipulative actions of a woman played by Jessica Alba place him in danger once again.

On Sunday 4 January at 9pm, Gallipoli airs. The film follows two young men, played by Mel Gibson and Mark Lee, who join the Australian army in 1915. Their journey takes them across continents to Egypt before they reach the battlefield at Gallipoli.

Saturday 10 January at 9pm sees the broadcast of Stealth. In the film, three Navy pilots are chosen to fly advanced stealth fighter bombers and train an unmanned drone aircraft controlled by artificial intelligence. When the computer system begins to act independently, the pilots must prevent a potential nuclear disaster. The film stars Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel and Jamie Foxx.

Internal Affairs follows on Sunday 11 January at 9pm. Andy Garcia plays internal affairs officer Raymond Avila, who investigates respected police officer Dennis Peck, portrayed by Richard Gere. As the investigation deepens, Avila uncovers corruption, murder and a dangerous psychological battle.

HUNTER KILLER

On Saturday 17 January at 9pm, Hunter Killer centres on an American submarine commander and a Navy SEAL team attempting to rescue the President of Russia during a military coup. Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman star.

Sunday 18 January at 9pm brings Nick of Time. Johnny Depp plays an accountant forced into an assassination plot when his daughter is kidnapped. The story unfolds in real time, with Christopher Walken appearing as the antagonist known as Mr Smith.

Battle Los Angeles airs on Saturday 24 January at 9pm. The film depicts a global alien invasion as Los Angeles becomes a final battleground. A Marine staff sergeant, played by Aaron Eckhart, leads his platoon against an unknown enemy.

On Sunday 25 January at 9pm, Lawless tells the true story of the Bondurant brothers, who run a moonshining operation in Depression era Virginia. Their business is threatened by the arrival of corrupt lawman Charlie Rakes, played by Guy Pearce.

Thursday 29 January at 9pm features The Last Son. Sam Worthington stars as Isaac LeMay, an outlaw driven by a prophecy that leads him to hunt his own children, including his son Cal. Thomas Jane appears as U.S. officer Solomon.

The month concludes on Saturday 31 January at 9pm with Survivor. Milla Jovovich plays a Foreign Service Officer at the American embassy in London who becomes the target of an international assassin known as The Watchmaker, portrayed by Pierce Brosnan.

Alongside the film premieres, Charlie's Angels continues with the channel premiere of Season Five, airing weeknights at 6pm from Friday 9 January. The Twilight Zone also returns with the channel premiere of Season Four, airing Saturdays and Sundays at 8pm from Saturday 3 January.

NEWS: Seasonal Thrills Land on LEGEND This December

December on LEGEND feels packed to the rafters with action, cult favourites and a few welcome surprises. The channel is lining up nine premieres across the month, and it leans into the festive mood with a slate that swings from classic crime to sci fi chaos and full throttle adventure. Three heavy hitters from the nineties sit at the heart of it all. Mike Newell's Donnie Brasco with Al Pacino and Johnny Depp, Paul Verhoeven's wild alien invasion epic Starship Troopers, and Robert Rodriguez's stylish revenge tale Desperado with Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek and Quentin Tarantino.

Regular faces also get their moment. Steven Seagal steps into the spotlight with the crime revenge story The Asian Connection. Jason Statham brings his familiar grit to Wild Card. Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg anchor the boxing drama The Fighter with the kind of intensity you would expect from the pair.

There is more to unwrap. Gerard Butler shows up in the fantasy adventure Gods of Egypt. Clive Owen and Naomi Watts pull viewers into global espionage in The International. Chris O'Donnell brings a hit of survival tension in Vertical Limit as he scales K2 in a desperate rescue.

If that is not enough, Charlie's Angels returns with the premiere of Season Four, landing weeknights at six from Thursday the fourth of December.

The schedule kicks off on Thursday the fourth at nine with The Asian Connection. Jack and Sam, two American expatriates, rob a run of banks in Southeast Asia without realising the cash belongs to a drug lord. The fallout is brutal. Sam is killed. Jack turns to Pom, the woman he loves, and the pair push back against the gang.

Saturday the sixth hits a similar beat of danger at nine with Wild Card. Jason Statham plays Nick Wild, a recovering gambling addict who sets out to punish the men who assaulted his friend. The hunt becomes messy once he discovers the man at the centre of it all has serious criminal backing.

A week later on Saturday the thirteenth at nine comes Gods of Egypt. Gods rule over mortals, but when a shift in power threatens the future of the land, a young god and a mortal stand against the usurper. Nikolaj Coster Waldau, Brenton Thwaites and Gerard Butler lead the charge.

Sunday the fourteenth at nine brings Donnie Brasco. Johnny Depp plays undercover FBI agent Joe Pistone, who slips into the mob under the name Donnie Brasco and earns the trust of Al Pacino's weary hitman Lefty Ruggiero. The deeper he goes, the more he realises he is blurring the line between duty and loyalty, and dragging Lefty towards a grim fate.

Thursday the eighteenth at nine shifts to conspiracy and corruption with The International. Clive Owen's Interpol agent Louis Salinger works with Manhattan Assistant DA Eleanor Whitman, played by Naomi Watts, as they attempt to expose a bank involved in financing global conflict. Their chase crosses continents as danger closes in.

Saturday the twentieth at nine raises the stakes once more with Vertical Limit. Chris O'Donnell's Peter Garrett climbs K2 to rescue his sister Annie and her team, trapped high above the point the human body can safely endure. Time is short and every climb could be their last.

Sunday the twenty first at nine delivers The Fighter, a true story centred on two brothers trying to claw their way toward a boxing title that might change their lives and heal their troubled family. Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale give the film its weight as they struggle to stay united.

After Christmas, Saturday the twenty seventh at nine brings Starship Troopers. Johnny Rico joins the mobile infantry in an attempt to impress his girlfriend Carmen who dreams of becoming a starship pilot. His motives are shaken after a tragic accident and he chooses to leave, only for Earth to come under attack by an intelligent alien species.

The month closes on Sunday the twenty eighth at nine with Desperado. Antonio Banderas returns as the mariachi who walks into a Mexican town with revenge on his mind. Salma Hayek, Steve Buscemi and Quentin Tarantino help bring the heat as he hunts the drug lord who destroyed his past.

It is quite the festive line up. A month of danger, adventure and nostalgia that should keep viewers busy right through to the new year.
