PREVIEW: Bloodstained Ivory (2026 Film) - Starring Nick Skonberg

Preview by Jon Donnis

Bloodstained Ivory is a new psychological thriller from writer and director Klein Haley (Reservation Dogs), exploring dedication, obsession, jealousy, paranoia and rage. With comparisons to Black Swan and Whiplash, the film follows an aspiring concert pianist whose pursuit of artistic recognition takes an increasingly disturbing turn.

Nick Skonberg (Disclosure Day) stars as Ross, a student in his final year at Chester Conservatory. With his future as a concert pianist seemingly within reach, everything changes when he freezes during a crucial senior recital, leaving his ambitions in doubt.

As desperation takes hold, Ross's mental health begins to deteriorate. His determination to establish himself as a renowned classical musician becomes an increasingly destructive obsession, leading towards self-destruction and bloody violence.

Directed by Klein Haley, Bloodstained Ivory explores the dangerous consequences of ambition and raises the question of just how far an aspiring artist might go to achieve recognition.

Following its festival run, Bloodstained Ivory makes its UK digital debut on 2 November, courtesy of Miracle Media.
