Sonic the Hedgehog 2020 - Brand New Trailer

Sonic the Hedgehog is an upcoming 2020 adventure film based on the Sonic video game series by Sega. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler (in his feature directorial debut) from a screenplay by Patrick Casey, Josh Miller, and Oren Uziel and a story by Casey and Miller.

It stars Ben Schwartz as the voice of the title character and Jim Carrey as Sonic's nemesis Doctor Robotnik, alongside James Marsden and Tika Sumpter. In the film, a small-town sheriff assists Sonic as he attempts to escape the government.

Sonic tries to navigate the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound best friend -- a human named Tom Wachowski. They must soon join forces to prevent the evil Dr. Robotnik from capturing Sonic and using his powers for world domination.

The film was originally scheduled to be released in the United States on November 8, 2019. However, after negative reaction to Sonic's previous design in the first trailer, which was released on April 30, Paramount delayed the film to February 14, 2020, pledging to redesign Sonic.
