At nearly 400 pounds, Tracy Orbison (Hubbel Palmer) is a wide target. When he sets out to pursue his dream of acting, the grocery clerk finds that his acting coach (William Baldwin), has designs on his sister Peggy (24’s Mary Lynn Rajskub); his friends suck him into their petty crimes and then there’s his God-fearing mother (Kathleen Quinlan). Through it all, Tracy remains irrepressibly upbeat, convinced he’s destined for something big.
Humble Pie is the debut film from BYU film grad Chris Bowman, and it is written by leading actor Hubbel Palmer. Palmer is one of the writers on Mastermind, staring Owen Wilson, yet to be released,
